Hemp Seed burgers

Australian Primary Hemp Seed Burgers

Ingredients

250 grams cooked sweet potato
250 grams black beans
1/2 cup grated carrot
2 garlic cloves
1/4 cup Hemp Seeds
1/2 brown onion
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp baking powder
Salt and pepper

  1. Peel and chop the sweet potato into small chunks and cook on the stove top in a pot of water until soft, once soft place in a bowl to cool.
  2. While the Sweet potato is cooling down, start grating your carrot and dicing your onion.
  3. Add the sliced onion, black beans, garlic, cumin, paprika, baking powder, hemp seeds and salt/pepper into a food processor.
  4. Add your cooled sweet potato and carrot into the food processor and mix until all the ingredients are combined.
  5. Scoop 2-3 large portions of your burger mix into your hands and start forming a patty.
  6. Heat a pan on the stove top with a little bit of coconut oil, cook the patties for 10-15 mins or until golden brown. If you find that they aren’t cooked fully in the middle, place them in your oven on a lined baking tray and cook for a further 10 mins.

Once the patties are cooked, they can be added to your burger bun you’re your favourite salad accompaniments such as mayo, beetroot, lettuce, grated zucchini. this is your time to create the end result.
