Raw Hemp Caramel Slice

This recipe taste as good as it looks! 

It is a gluten-free, dairy-free, raw, healthy twist on the delicious Caramel Slice, but watch out, because it definitely won't last for long! 

Ingredients

 

Base
  • 1 cup almond meal
  • 3/4 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/4 Australian Primary Hemp Seeds
  • 2 tablespoons honey (or natural sweetener)
  • 3 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon coconut cream
  • pinch of salt
middle
  • 6 tablespoons nut butter (preferably cashew) 
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or natural sweetener)
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons Australian Primary Hemp Oil
  • 3 tablespoons coconut cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
top
  • 6 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 4 tablespoons coconut oil, liquid
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

 

Method

1. Start with blending all the 'base' ingredient together. Once blended, empty into a baking tray and smoothen out to create the first layer. 

2. Blend all of the 'middle' ingredients together until a smooth paste forms. Empty into a baking tray, on top of the base and even out. 

3. Lastly, heat the 'top' ingredients in a pot over a low heat until combined. Pour over the slice, covering the whole tray. 

4. Place in the fridge for 2hrs and cut into squares to serve. Keep refrigerated.
